I get that this is a confronting concept. I am a recovering co-dependent. I existed to make other people’s lives better. I thought my actions had an impact on the behaviour of people around me. I took responsibility for them, for me – all of it.
I thought my life would change if certain outcomes were achieved.
I was wrong.
