Hi, it’s Lisa Corduff. Welcome to the podcast where you can expect inspiring, raw, energising, and transformative conversations with people on the path of personal evolution. I’m here to really live my life, and if you are too, these conversations are just for you. I’m really glad you’re here. Enjoy.
I’ve been delivering coaching, trainings, lessons, webinars, you name it, for over seven years online. And today on the podcast, you’re listening to what we’re calling a tiny training, taken from inside the vault, here at LCHQ, and we hope you enjoy it.
“Your Word is Your Wand,” said by also the amazing Florence Scovel Shinn… but here’s the actual truth, right? I realised that we all speak our lives into existence. And you know, the whole concept is that words hold vibration and they just act like boomerangs. I’ve practised this with myself so many times, it’s now almost like a joke I have with myself. If I’m starting to feel like something’s coming on, sniffly nose or something like that… what I used to do would be like, “Oh my gosh, I’m getting sick.” And I’d tell everyone, be like, “I’m getting sick. Mum, I’m getting sick. You guys, you’re going to have to be good. Mummy’s getting sick,” blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And so sure enough, I would get sick.
Now I’m like, “Wow. I know exactly what I need to do to get well. I know exactly what health feels like.” Wow. I love when my body gives me signals like this, because I started going to bed early. I pump myself with garlic and ArmaForce, and I don’t get sick. I love that I know how to keep myself healthy. And sometimes it doesn’t happen, obviously, but most of the time that works. Get intentional about the words that you are using to describe yourself and your life, especially when it comes to this whole concept of having no time, or not prioritising you, or being really busy. I never use the word busy to describe my life anymore. Never. Because as long as I was speaking busy, well, I was creating busy.
So you can start literally speaking your new life into existence. You can start speaking space into existence because if you say “I’m always tired, I am chronically just always tired.” Well, you’ll always be tired. If you say your life is crazy busy, you’ll always be crazy busy. You say the kids are a nightmare, they’re going to be, 100% guaranteed. They will not turn into angels while you hold that and say that. You say you’ve got no direction. Like, “I’m just going in no direction. I just don’t know what to do. I don’t know where to go.” Well, you’re just going to repeat that. That’s just what’s going to come right back to you, right? It seems so obvious, and yet we don’t realise the power of the words and the fact that the words are literally creating our life.
So on a really practical level with this one… I mean, it’s pretty obvious. You can wake up in the morning and speak your great day into existence. Today’s a great day. Today, I choose happiness. Okay. And then just see what comes back for you. Every time you say you have no time, “I’ve got no time for this. Oh my gosh. I’ve just got no time. Everything’s on top of me.” Change the words to everything always gets done, in perfect timing. I just trust now that everything gets done, and if it wasn’t meant to get done, then it won’t. That’s okay. What am I making that mean for myself? But I literally say everything always gets done because it usually does. It’s just like, we create so much energy around it. And if we keep saying “I never get to finish anything. I never have time.” We will literally never have the time. If you start saying everything always gets done, don’t you think that that more supports that state of being, of peace? Because I’m not letting it ruffle me.
Start listening to how you reinforce your current circumstances with your words. Really, it’s just one of the simplest things that you can do to start changing things. I never prioritise myself. It just turns into, I love prioritising me, I love looking for ways to do things for me every day. Literally start saying it out loud, to yourself. It doesn’t matter who’s hearing, but your words are speaking your life into existence, so be conscious of them and be careful of them.
Hey, if you’re enjoying the conversation, then it would mean the world to me if you head over to iTunes and give us a rating and review. It really makes a difference, and it’s my intention to get as many of us involved in real conversations that really changed the game as possible. Thanks so much for your help. And I’ll see you in the next episode.
