CwL Ep 4: We Belong – A conversation on love

Welcome to a new conversation.

I took a deep, steadying breath as I pressed record. This a conversation that bears witness to the love I shared with my husband, partner, friend and co-parent, Nick. It’s an exploration of how our relationship changed, how two people in love courageously decided to separate, the grief I experienced over the evolution of my marriage, and the loneliness we can feel when we know our relationship isn’t healthy.

This was painful for me to share – that’ll be obvious from all the crying. I’m sorry if it’s awkward to listen to in parts. But I know in my heart that there will be women out there who need to hear it. This is for the woman who feels she can do something to make it better for her partner, who longs for it to be better. You are not alone. You are brave and you can choose bravely what you need for your life.

I LOVED this. It’s almost identical to my own 28yr relationship, right down to my ex’s (Nick) passed in 2020. This brought up so much emotion, emotion that I needed to shed, acknowledge.

    Thank you. Xo 😘
