BUSINESS Manager

The Business Manager will work very closely with the CEO and the entire team and must be organised as well as outcome driven. The role requires being across all aspects of the business, managing a small team and numerous contractors, as well as over-seeing all systems and tech.

The perfect candidate will be a star when it comes to managing all the moving pieces involved in a variety of projects across the business, in addition to overseeing the day to day operations. You’re detail oriented, organised, and great at juggling the different timelines and people involved in tasks and projects. But you don’t just see tasks and project pieces - you’ll see the potential impact and lives changed, and opportunities for growth and improvement.

We are looking for someone with experience in mapping out and overseeing large and complex projects. You will be able to distill the day to day requirements and Lisa’s ideas, through the lense of staying on track with the bigger vision of the business. You will be relied upon to keep on top of all business aspects, and be a sounding board for Lisa. And you will see how your work directly impacts lives, everyday. 

This position requires a high level of integrity, drive, responsibility and project management skills.

Specifically the core functions of this role are:

Project Management 

• For all needs across the business from managing launches (several major launches per year, plus smaller promotions in between), to projects like website updates, system upgrades and revenue streams. 
• Manage all projects from end to end - from the initial planning, managing team and outsourcing requirements and keeping everyone to deadlines through to completion. We have systems for this and will train you. But you will be allowed to put your own spin on things to keep things running smoothly.

Operations Management and Planning 

• Maintain and oversee creation of processes for all key tasks within the business and ensure team members are following these
• Mapping out dates / calendar for the year, and scheduling promotions etc
• Manage all tech used across the company. Train team members in their use and outsource to specialist contractors where required.
• Research and evaluate systems and advise Lisa on best practices and recommendations. Maintain a deep understanding of systems across the business. 
• Implementation of higher level tasks such as complex campaigns within Ontraport, collaborating with team members on the creation of high level systems and processes. (Having Ontraport experience is a bonus. If not, we will train you)
• Identify opportunities for improved processes and manage implementation

Metrics Management 

• Identify and track relevant stats across the business (from sales to web traffic), to know what’s working and what isn’t. Decipher and present the data in a way that make sense to Lisa, and make recommendations as appropriate

Team Management 

• Manage both our internal team, and outsourcing to contractors for all projects and day to day tasks. You’ll lead all team members, and delegate tasks and accountabilities
• Communicating with team members to ensure they are kept informed and are on track with tasks and deadlines 
• Hold regular meetings with individuals/groups as required (relevant to each team member)

• You have brilliant attention to detail and ability to work to high standards consistently, and drive this within the team
• You will thrive working as part of a remote team in a virtual setting because you are self-motivated and an excellent communicator who won’t sit back waiting for direction 
• You are confident and discerning when working with a creative who has all.the.idea’s and can effectively distil, create and project plan from high level, big picture ideas. Being plugged into the big picture of the business excites you! 
• Juggling multiple projects simultaneously doesn’t send you into a spin— you get things done, meet deadlines and keep promises
• You are always thinking three (or twenty!) steps ahead and bring creative problem solving skills to the table 
• Positive, flexible, solution oriented, and excited to work with a diverse team of women working toward common goals
• Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) and confident in your ability to lead a team — you have a knack for offering constructive feedback, effective delegation, and ensuring everyone is on the same page
• Have the ability to oversee the implementation and management of systems, tech and processes throughout the business. In fact, you probably wake up at night thinking about these things!
• You are naturally good at finding and implementing ways to tighten up and improve existing processes, or create new ones. 
• You have a minimum 2 years project management experience or something similar. Bonus points if you have any experience in digital marketing or launching. (But not necessary)

• Someone who doesn’t like to read self-improvement books or doesn’t like to continually grow as a person
• Someone looking to start or already has their own business. We need you to be dedicated to our business for the long term.
• Someone not willing to be ‘all hands on deck’ when a project needs to be completed. (Occasionally, the entire team sometimes needs to work a weekend or evening to meet a due date. It doesn’t happen all the time. But when it does, we all do whatever it takes).

• This role will commence at a minimum of 25 hours per week, but has scope for up to full time hours for the right person
• We typically work Mon-Fri in school hours, and ideally this role will overlap with the core hours between 10am - 2pm Melbourne time AEST. Flexibility with hours is available, however must be able to work minimum 3 - 4 hours each week day. You may be based anywhere in Australia as long as you can be available during the core hours. You will be open to finding your own rhythm that serves your lifestyle, whilst also getting the job done.
